Hello! My name is Sarah, I am 32, and I have a toddler whose sensory system is completely out of whack. She's the most precious thing in the world to me while simultaneously being the most overwhelming. I started this blog after months of being criticized for how I parent with a child that is incredibly aggressive and does not respond to discipline. It took a lot for me to finally stop listening to people and ask around for someone who could give me real answers. The answers came from a friend of a friend who specializes in child development. She let me know that my daughter has sensory problems. Sure enough, her doctor agreed and we got a referral to OT (occupational therapy). So I here to share my experiences and what I've learned and will learn because it stinks to feel alone.
Anyone who has a child or multiple children whose sensory system is out of whack, knows how hard parenting is. On top of the normal toddler struggles, the aggression, disregard for discipline, extreme tantrums and unpredictable meltdowns make it more than overwhelming.
So if you are looking for some fun mom stories, want to feel like you're not alone, or just want to be a fly on the wall of my crazy life, I hope you enjoy the stories.
I could have chosen a more flattering picture, but let's be real, this is me on a normal day.
